Something to start the new blog off with

I'm not one to give BYU credit, but this was easily one of the most amusing parts about my recent trip to San Diego for the Poinsettia Bowl. I heard somebody paid a couple hundred dollars for a plane to haul the sign: "Harline is still open...And Collie too! The plane made about three or four circles around the stadium about 45 minutes before kickoff.

What a jab at the Utes. Thought it gets annoying, Utah really has given BYU some great material for the year-long taunt sessions following their recent victories in "The Holy War." This is yet another example of what makes this rivalry great. When I'm 50 years old, I'll be able to look back and remember one of the ballsiest pranks I've seen in a long time. What makes it even better is that when Utah finally gets over the hump in 2008 and whacks the Cougars, we'll find away to one-up them.

Let's just hope BYU isn't living right on AND off the field in 2008.
